Gippsland dairy processor Burra Foods have announced a further increase, their sixth, to their 2013-14 milk price. CEO Grant Crothers said it was equal to a lift of 8c/kg butterfat and 20c/kg protein. “Our ability to capture the stronger market conditions earlier in the season is underpinning the higher farmgate returns for all of our Farm Milk Supply Partners in the second half of the year, despite softer market conditions in recent months,” Crothers said. “The outlook for next season remains positive.”
