A-ware are raising their December milk price by a whopping 4.25c/kg. A dairy farmer who supplies milk to Albert Heijn’s ‘Better for’ programme will be paid a maximum of 50.69c/kg. Including the maximum supplements, they are the first dairy factory to reach this peak. The average monthly milk price of A-ware, which excludes the organic milk, is 46.87c in December. The large increase in the milk price is partly due to a one-off price correction of 2c for milk delivered in this month. The organic milk price also rises significantly by 3c and organic milk producers will be paid 57.34c/kg, which is more than 3c more than Arla Foods and about 5.70c more than paid by FrieslandCampina.
