Plans to open New Zealand’s first plant-based ‘milk’ processing factory at East Auckland in 2024 have been announced by Free Flow Manufacturing. The site will have an initial capacity of 50m litres per annum and its first client will be the Otis oat drink that is currently manufactured in Sweden. In what is claimed to be a world first, the processing equipment will also be capable of producing novel plant-based beers.
