The latest GDT auction held today resulted in the Index rising 4.1% to 1,455, its highest level since February 2014. The two big movers in this week’s trade were BMP (+9.7% to $4,009/t) and WMP (+5.8% to $4,324/t). A total 28,463t of product was sold, down 7.1% from last time and 1.9% more than this time last year. The SMP index was up 2.1%, based on an average price of $4,051/t, Cheddar was up 2.4% at $5,684/t, butter was up 3.3% at $6,359/t, and AMF was up 1.4% at $6,800/t.
